John Manders is mentioned on the right page because 1) he's famous,
2) his work is represented in HK's sample illustrator portfolio of client
works
which got passed around the room, and 3) I recognized his name there
because
we have some mutual friends whom I won't exploit by name dropping.
(but their initials are George Schill and Jim Conaway)
So that's who HK represents: famous illustrators who are great at what they
do.
